Rick Nelson gets an outing from 1970 performing Garden Party. This was long after he'd quit his rock and roll ways and was well into his country rock days. There are some great lyrics on this little gem and an interesting little story attached too.

ACADEMIC (ish)

I picked up the album last year. Well worth tracking down. One of the formative Lauren Canyon era recordings.
